Web Development Background
I started building web sites in the mid 1990s as the in-house designer at Mastery Technologies. As a one man shop I was relied upon to handle all visual design, user interaction, marketing concepts, development, and maintenance for a family of sites. I also bolstered my skills by building a number of personal sites. It was a continually-adapting, ever-changing, whirlwind period that grew more complex each year. I could write some mean css and html, but when it came to programming and databases, my time was better spent on visual design. I found my niche to be building clean layouts, refined graphics, intuitive interactivity, and highly-optimized media.
These days I utilize my core design strengths while staying in touch with trends and new technologies. I continue to assist small businesses in building a professional and viable web presence.
